End of exams

Tuesday, May 23rd, 2000

Woohoo! End of an era for me, next year I shall no longer be going to university.
Well OK, they weren’t quite that bad, but I think I shall be using my “free fail” for one of the exams, and if I’m really unlucky I may be retaking an exam next year.
Bugger. Ah well, such is life.
Which continues to go on, surprisingly enough. I am now starting the two projects previously mentioned.
The GFX one looks to be the most interesting, though we have to program it in Turing, which is potentially the slowest language in the world ever (bar BASIC), due to the fact it is interpreted and not compiled. =(
Anyway, I’m off to pester a friend to cook for me, as he owes me food.

Summer semester at university continues

Ho hum, nothing much to report really. I’ve only got two more exams left; one this afternoon (1600) and one on Friday.
Then it’s into major project mode. We have 6 weeks of it, in which we must design a web page on Computational Management (suitable for understanding by a layman – which is interesting because I have NO IDEA what Computational Management is), and also design/build a 3D GFX engine (basic) in Turing/C.
So that’ll be fun. Aside from that, various ongoing projects. Still slowly learning Perl, and have also started fiddling with WorldCraft, a map designer for Half-Life.
Interesting things going on on the clan front. If you don’t already know, I am now one of a 3 member leading council for PoW-R. We have an upcoming scrim against Ni on Sunday.

Summer semester at university begins

Have just had my first week back at uni, in which I have had two exams, one of which was on Architecture, and the other was on Haskell & Prolog.
Both seem to have gone OK, but more revision is required for exams next week, starting on Monday afternoon. Should be interesting, as I hate those subjects.
Anyway, that’s all for now; am learning Perl in my spare time though.
