Dungeon Keeper 2

Monday, August 25th, 2003

I have a hankering for a game of Dungeon Keeper 2 today.
I can’t find my CD though, and I have a bad feeling someone from halls (yes, three years ago) has it. This is bad.
Never mind. I’ll just lie on my bed instead.

Japan!

Saturday, August 23rd, 2003

Just posting a quick link to Simon’s itinerary of what we’re doing in Japan. It’s rather out of date, especially around the Kyoto/Osaka area, but hey.

The main addition is I should be heading west to Hiroshima, and even further west to Fukuoka/Nagasaki to visit Anthony (a friend from the Japanese course) instead of spending so much time in Osaka. Hopefully Simon will post a more up to date version soon.

Music I like

Tuesday, August 19th, 2003

So yeah, a quick summary of what currently floats my boat in the musical arena.

  • Delerium: Ambient/trancy, starting harder and tending towards pop in later albums.
  • Conjure One: Rhys Fulber from Delerium wibbles off and does some tracks that are more early Delerium era on his own. Mint.
  • Balligomingo: Nice stuff, similar to the more recent Delerium tracks.
  • Evanescence: I know, I know – I’m a sucker for the currents of pop. They’ve got some nice stuff floating around though.
  • Amethystium: New age. Very cool. site

w00t! Off to Wales.

Thursday, August 14th, 2003

I’m just popping off to Wales for the weekend.

I bought a nice new hat to replace the one I lost at the beginning of the year (a tragedy of truly epic proportions), and some funky new swim shorts. I will be the king of the beach.

I’ll take my book along in case the king of the beach thing doesn’t work out.

Just a quick “what’s been happening”.

First, everything appears safe with the IBM job. I’ve been speaking to Moe rather extensively over the past few weeks or so, and I’ll be going back to work with Solution Test in early November. So that’s all good.

I finished my 2-week intensive Japanese course at the end of last week, which was fun. I now know how to say “I’d like that one please.” and various other bits and bobs.

Uh… work goes as usual at CSG.

Kempo-wise, we somehow managed to get both Mark and Karl to come along to today’s (make that yesterday’s) session. Fun to have so many people in the dojo.

SG16 was fun. If you want more details they’re on the SG site – look for Shotgun LAN on the links page.

Couple of new photos, including a truly scary one of Pete.

Not much else to report really.

Ja,
