  • Rediscovering my record collection

I had no idea I had so many CDs I’d forgotten about! I’m busy re-ripping some of them again, but they’re all so good! They bring back memories, too:

Eva Cassidy … unrequited love, and some of my best days
Dave Koz … my brief pop-jazz dabbling at uni
    The Verve … teenage years

And there’s a whole other box somewhere! So exciting!

  • Humphrey

When my father came down last weekend he brought down Humphrey for me. Humphrey’s my huge cuddly dog that my mother made for me when I was tiny. He’s always been around and always lived on my bed (while there was space for him, anyway). Now he’s got his place back – look!

  • Semisonic songs

Over the past few days I’ve been taking refuge in some CDs I bought to keep me happy. I’m just listening to one of them now – Semisonic’s Feeling Strangely Fine. The music’s wonderful and bouncy, but if you actually listen to the lyrics it’s saying something else completely… There’s a site that has lyrics for the album here. Have a read – there’s some good stuff in there if you’re feeling depressed.

The other Semisonic albums are generally happier, which is nice 🙂

  • Scary MSN ad…

So here I was innocently chatting to Mark on MSN, but what should I notice on the MSN window?

    Scary MSN chat ad

Just at the bottom, on the left. No, it’s not Photoshopped. Yes, it is scary.

So – parents need to be wary of Microsoft as well as lecherous old men on the Internet. Won’t somebody think of the children?
